This journal was begun with the intention of it being a means by which I might maintain my sanity in a less than sane environment. Even though that didn't work, I continue to this day to write here as it's a habit and I'm too crazy to stop. That said, I tend to rant, bitch, and complain a lot. There's lots of other stuff here, too, some of it actually pleasant and possibly even amusing; however, if you're not cool with my revealing my Inner Sith, it's probably best that you not read. I think you may be okay with most of it, though. 'Tis your choice.
Friending/Defriending Policy: Despite what may appear to be an unfriendly and uninviting profile, I'd like to think I'm a relatively affable soul. I truly enjoy making new friends here on LJ and reading other people's journals. I don't filter my friends. If you're on my friends list, I read you. I may not comment often (it's kind of hard to comment on every journal entry, especially for over 200 people), but I do read. If you friend me, I will absolutely positively friend you back, unless your a Russian Bot. I will report your Matrix-y ass if you're a Russian Bot. You don't even have to be Russian. If you're a bot, consider yourself reported.
If you defriend me, I will defriend you back. I have this thing about my 'friend' and 'friend of' numbers matching, so don't take that personally, although I doubt you would really care if you'd defriended me. I just felt this needed to be said.
If I defriend you, I will always give you a reason why. More often than not, I post something along the lines of "I'll be defriending those who seem to have abandoned their journals, yadda yadda yadda" 'cos that's usually the reason why I defriend. This isn't about my getting comments, it's about your writing in your blog. There have been exceptions, but I will always address the reason behind my leaving a person's journal. Oh, one more thing: if I defriend you because your journal seemed to be abandoned and you come back to LJ, I will refriend you.
One more thing that needs to be said about de-friending
Over time, I've grown increasingly impatient with those people who defriend without so much as a goodbye. I'm not looking for an explanation, just some semblance of courtesy. That said, if you defriend me in such an impersonal way, then change your mind later and think I will refriend you, don't waste your time.
